Nancy welcomes “Les Bleues”

Nancy is best known all over the world for its architectural sights – like the Place Stanislas which has been listed as World Heritage by the UNESCO – and the École de Nancy, an association of famous representatives of the Art Nouveau. Located in the Grand Est region, Nancy is one of the main French university cities. Its cultural and sportive opportunities place it among the most dynamic cities in France.

Nancy regularly stages major events, such as the Davis Cup or the Tour de France, that highlight the city’s quality as a host of major sport events. The city’s sports pride are the football team of AS Nancy and the basketball club SLUC Nancy Basket and Nancy is more than ready for the EHF EURO 2018.

Nancy will be the venue for the French team during their preliminary round campaign in Group B come December 2018. In the same month the city also celebrates the festival of Saint-Nicolas and will therefore not only attract the regional handball fans but also those from across the border as Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg are only a few kilometres away.
